It’s with a heavy heart that I report Jazmine Sullivan is mourning the passing of her mother, Pam Sullivan, who transitioned to her heavenly home on July 22.

The Grammy Award-winning singer took to social media on Monday and shared a black-and-white photo of her mother as a child.

Jazmine captioned the post:

I don’t have the words yet mommy.

So for now I’ll say thank you thank you thank you.

Rest now butterfly 🦋

See Jazmine Sullivan’s tribute post to her mother below.

During her acceptance speech for Album of the Year at the 2021 BET Awards, Jazmine Sullivan revealed her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019.

My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago so we didn’t see any of this happening.

But, God has been so faithful to us.

My mom is now in remission.

Jazmine went on to honor Pam saying:

This is my gift. It means more to me than anything that she’s here with me.

She supported me all my life and pushed me and loved me all my life.

So, I’m so grateful for her.

Ms Pam always had your back even when you didn’t understand your vocal gift your mom did!

From the moment I walked out the studio she waited to tell me about her little daughter who could sing and she was by your side always as she will continue to be in spirit🕊️

Rest Easy Ms Pam you will forever be a GEM💜
