Authorities in Mississippi are urging shoppers to stay alert after a disturbing discovery at two Walmart locations in Biloxi.

A 33-year-old Texas woman, identified as Camille Benson, has been arrested and charged after razor blades were allegedly found hidden inside loaves of bread and a baked good sold at local Walmart stores, according to law enforcement and multiple media reports.

The Biloxi Police Department confirmed that officers first responded on December 15, 2025, after customers reported finding razor blades inside bread displayed for sale at a Walmart Supercenter on CT Switzer Sr. Drive.

Police later received a similar complaint from a Walmart Neighborhood Market on Pass Road.

According to Lt. Candace Young, customers reported discovering razor blades inside bread products purchased from both locations.

Store employees told authorities that the first incident was reported on December 5, followed by another report on December 8.

After reviewing their inventory, employees found additional loaves containing razor blades.

Investigators reviewed video surveillance footage and identified a person of interest.

In the footage, Benson was allegedly seen exiting one of the stores while holding a white bag.

Police later received information placing her in the 1000 block of Division Street on December 16, where officers were able to locate and take her into custody.

Benson has been charged with attempted mayhem, and a Harrison County Justice Court judge set her bond at $100,000.

She is currently being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.

In a public statement, the Biloxi Police Department urged anyone who purchased bread from Walmart stores in Biloxi to carefully inspect their items for sharp objects.

Officials asked customers to immediately contact the Biloxi Police Department if anything suspicious is found.

Walmart also addressed the situation, emphasizing customer safety.

“The health and safety of our customers is always a top priority,” the company said in a statement obtained by the Associated Press. “We have removed and thoroughly inspected all potentially affected products at impacted stores in Biloxi. We appreciate law enforcement for their swift action and will continue cooperating with them as they investigate.”

At this time, the investigation remains ongoing.

As with all cases, the charges represent allegations, and Benson is presumed innocent unless proven otherwise in court.

If you recently shopped at a Walmart in Biloxi, officials recommend checking your bread and baked goods before consumption.
