Zendaya got me hype on Monday when she announced HBO will be airing not one, but two special episodes of their hit series, “Euphoria.”
The Emmy-winning actress took to Instagram writing:
We really missed them. Two special Euphoria episodes coming soon. First one December 6th on @hbo
According to Deadline, HBO said the specials are intended to bridge the gap between season one and the forthcoming second season.
Zendaya actually teased the episode during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” when she said:
We might end up doing a little bridge episode. I don’t really know how to describe it, but an episode that we can do with a limited amount of people in a safer environment… so we have something to live on until we are able to go into Season 2.
The first bonus episode Zendaya spoke of is titled, “Trouble Don’t Last Always,” and it follows Rue as she celebrates Christmas.
The episode also stars Colman Domingo, who stars in the forthcoming Netflix film, “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.”
“Trouble Don’t Last Always” will air on Sunday, December 6 at 9 p.m. EST.
No date or info has been released about the second episode.
Both episodes were produced under COVID-19 guidelines.
