Young M.A Claps Back at Ex-Girlfriend Over Leaked Hospital Video
Rapper Young M.A has taken to social media to address recent posts made by her ex-girlfriend, who attempted to expose and embarrass her online.
The woman shared a video of the Brooklyn rapper, whose real name is Katorah Marrero, during a time when she was extremely sick.
The resurfaced footage, which has now gone viral, dates back two years and shows Young M.A in a vulnerable state.
Young M.A’s Health Struggles & Recovery
Back in April 2023, Young M.A opened up about her hospitalization, revealing that she had been seriously ill due to “a lot of wrong decisions” that negatively impacted her health.
She assured her fans at the time that she was on the road to recovery.
Now, her ex-girlfriend, in since-deleted Instagram posts, claimed credit for nursing the rapper back to health. However, she also accused Young M.A of “hating on her” when she started making money and didn’t like her “having motion.”
In another post, the ex wrote, “I cleaned your s** when you was 💩 on yourself in the 🏥 and at 🏠.”*
Young M.A Speaks Out
Responding to the viral clip, Young M.A made it clear that she has already addressed and moved past that difficult chapter in her life.
“Somebody I was once with posted me in the hospital at a vulnerable moment—something that I’ve already owned. It’s been two years,” she said.
The rapper acknowledged that she went through a dark period but assured her supporters that she has since fully recovered.
“I went through a time in my life that was real dark. But I’m good now. I’m very healthy. And my supporters know that.”
She also expressed disappointment in the person who leaked the footage, calling the act “foul.”
“I just never knew this was her character… But you know, people be people sometimes, and you just never know.”
Mental Health Struggles & Music Comeback
In her response, Young M.A also opened up about her struggles with mental health, revealing that during this period, she lost her passion for music.
“When I lost the passion for music, that’s when my world ended. I was distracted by trauma—all of the trauma.”
She referenced various challenges, from relationship struggles to family issues, saying:
“From girlfriends to my momma… to hurting my health and seeing doctors.”
Despite her hardships, Young M.A remains focused on healing and moving forward, putting her faith first.
“All I can do is let God handle it. That’s just been always my phrase, always my phrase moving forward.”
Young M.A Drops New Music & Moves Forward
Instead of dwelling on the negativity, Young M.A is using her experiences as motivation. She wrapped up her message by promoting her latest music, proving she is not ashamed of her past.
“Open Scars on YouTube, and I’m dropping that link. I ain’t ashamed of nothing.”
