YFN Lucci Rejects Fulton County District Attorney’s Plea Deal Of 20 Years In Prison

YFN Lucci rejects Fulton County DA Plea Deal

YFN Lucci has rejected a plea deal from the Fulton County District Attorney that recommended 20 years in prison with 17 left to serve in his long-running RICO case.

The 32-year-old rapper, whose real name is Rayshawn Bennett, was among eleven other men indicted on racketeering influenced and corrupt organization (RICO) charges related to alleged Bloods gang activity.

YFN turned himself in May of 2021 and has been awaiting his day in court.

His attorney, Drew Findling, called the 20-year plea deal “absurd.”

The absurd ‘plea offer’ being reported is accurate. However, a plea offer is not any indication of the likelihood of a plea, and in fact, Mr. Bennett is still waiting — after two and a half years in custody — to be given a potential trial date.

You may recall that YFN Lucci is also facing charges of felony murder, aggravated assault, participation in criminal street gang activity, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony in connection to a December 2020 homicide.

YFN Lucci’s pre-trial hearing is set for August 15, 2023.
