Uzo Aduba is pregnant! The Emmy and Tony Award-winning star revealed she is expecting her first child with her husband Robert Sweeting.
The 42-year-old actress, who many came to know and love as the breakout star of Netflix’s “Orange is the New Black,” took to social media on Sunday to share the exciting news.
Uzo shared a quick video of her holding a newborn onesie and simply said, “Tah-dah!”
The caption on the post read:
What a blessing. My husband Robert and I are so happy to enter this next chapter together as parents.
I am beyond excited.
I get to be someone’s Mommy!
I know as the three of us continue to grow, our only, ONLY goal will be to love you, little one.
My goodness. Look what God has done.

Later that night, Uzo hit the carpet of the 76th Annual Tony Awards rocking her baby bump beautifully.

Uzo and Robert Sweeting, who is a filmmaker, were married for a whole year before she even told the public they got hitched.
She simply hit us with a “Happy Anniversary” post.
I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t have told us about her pregnancy either if she didn’t have to make public appearances with her baby bump.
Aside from the baby news…I am also excited to see Uzo Aduba in the forthcoming Shondaland series, “The Resident.”
