Tristan Thompson has filed for legal guardianship of his 17-year-old brother, Amari Thompson, after their mom’s sudden passing.
Andrea Thompson suffered a heart attack on January 5, 2023.
She was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, they were unable to save her.
A month after her passing, Tristan Thompson took to social media to share a heartfelt tribute to his beautiful mother.
Since Andrea’s passing, Tristan has assumed the role of Amari’s primary caregiver.
Amari Thompson has several medical diagnoses that render him incapable of caring for himself.
According to court documents, Tristan and Amari’s father, Trevor, has been absent from Amari’s life, and Tristan is the closest family member able to provide the care that Amari needs.
The documents also state that Tristan will protect Amari’s $103,475 inheritance from loss or injury.
Tristan Thompson will be responsible for helping Amari with his day-to-day activities and keeping up with his medical appointments.
Khloe Kardashian temporarily opened up her home to Amari and Tristan while he was having repairs done to the roof of his home.
