I am heartbroken to report singer and “Braxton Family Values” star Traci Braxton has passed away after a private battle with Esophageal cancer.
She was 50.
Her husband, Kevin Surratt, confirmed Traci’s passing saying:
We have come to a time where we must inform the public that after a year of privately undergoing a series of treatments for Esophageal cancer our beloved Traci Braxton has gone on to glory.
She was surrounded by her mother and sisters when she transitioned to her heavenly home.
Traci’s son, Kevin Jr., took to Instagram to share a heartbreaking tribute to his mother.
He wrote:
When I heard the news about my mother being sick first thing she said was Iâm going to fight and beat this.
She fought to the end and today sheâs at peace. I love my mother forever and this hurts so much but Iâm at peace knowing sheâs isnât in pain anymore.
I love you ma Iâm going to miss you.
