Timbaland Recalls Getting Shot While Working At Red Lobster & Being Paralyzed For Nearly 2 Years

Timbaland

Before Timbaland became the super producer responsible for countless hits, he experienced an event that almost changed the course of his life forever.

During an interview on Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay,” the 51-year-old producer, whose real name is Timothy Mosley, recalled the time he was shot while working as a dishwasher at Red Lobster.

Apparently, one of his friends had beef with another person and was planning to take action later that night at a ball game.

Timbaland told Shannon:

My homeboy grabbed a revolver, and he was putting it up in a bag and said, ‘Wait til tonight’s game.’

As he was putting it in the bag…I was turning around to clock out and I turned around – POW!

And I walked off and I thought my arm was on the ground.

And I said, ‘Where my arm at?! Where my arm at?! Where my arm?!’

What happened my whole nerve…this side got paralyzed. It was paralyzed for like a year…or two years.

I had to go to therapy.

The only thing I was thinking about was, ‘How I’m going to DJ?!’

Timbaland would go on to work with some of the biggest artists in the world like Aaliyah, Justin Timberlake, JAY-Z, and Missy Elliott…just to name a few.
