Doc Rivers fired Philadelphia 76ers

“Damn Doc” is trending in the streets of Twitter after the Philadelphia 76ers have reportedly fired head coach Doc Rivers

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news Tuesday, which comes on the heels of the Sixers’ Game 7 loss to the Boston Celtics on Sunday.

Ramona Shelburne of ESPN reported Monday that “it would be hard” to see James Harden return to Philadelphia if Doc was still the head coach of the team.

Doc Rivers is no stranger to getting fired as head coach.

In 2020, he was fired by the Los Angeles Clippers after the team blew a 3-1 lead on the Denver Nuggets allowing the team to advance to the Western Conference Finals.

A week later, the Philadelphia 76ers signed Doc to a five-year, $40 million contract

Don’t let the firings fool ya!

Doc Rivers knows a thing or two about coaching and has led eighteen of his teams to the playoffs.

He also won an NBA Championship with the Boston Celtics in 2008.

But, these days things appear to be a little tougher for him as head coach.

I wish Doc Rivers the best in his next and future endeavors.
