‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ Season 2 Trailer Is Here, And Owen Is Finally Back

Key art for “The Last Thing He Told Me” Season 2 on Apple TV starring Jennifer Garner and Angourie Rice.

Apple TV just dropped the trailer for Season 2 of “The Last Thing He Told Me,” and if you thought Hannah’s life was chaotic the first time around… buckle up.

Jennifer Garner is back as Hannah Hall (and still serving stressed-but-strong in the best way), and the new season picks up with the kind of twist that instantly pulls you back in: Owen is back after five years on the run.

Yes… that Owen. Played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, his return throws Hannah and Bailey right back into the danger they thought they escaped.

And based on what this trailer is giving? This is not a sweet reunion. This is a race against time.

When Does “The Last Thing He Told Me” Season 2 Premiere?

Season 2 is an eight-episode rollout and it’s coming fast:

  • Premiere Date: Friday, February 20, 2026 (first episode)
  • New Episodes Every Friday
  • Season Finale: Friday, April 10, 2026
  • Where To Watch: Apple TV

So yes, we’re doing weekly suspense again, and honestly?

That’s the only way a show like this should be watched.

What’s Season 2 About?

Season 2 is based on “The First Time I Saw Him,” Laura Dave’s bestselling sequel to her wildly popular thriller.

And the setup is basically this:

Owen shows up out of nowhere, and suddenly Hannah (Garner) and her stepdaughter Bailey (Angourie Rice) are forced into a high-stakes mission to reunite their family before the past catches up and destroys everything.

Because you already know… when someone disappears for five years and pops back up, it’s never just “Hey y’all, I’m home.”

It’s always something deeper, darker, and dangerous.
