The CW has made the decision not to move forward with the second season of Ava DuVernay’s superhero drama, “Naomi.”
“Naomi,” starring Kaci Walfall, followed a Superman-obsessed teenage girl’s journey from her small northwestern town to the heights of the multiverse.
When a supernatural event shook her community, Naomi set out to uncover its origins, and what she discovered challenged everything we believe about our heroes — and the people who raise them.

According to Deadline, the series struggled to find an audience, especially online.
Then, there was the battle for viewership considering the fact that the series premiered during the Beijing Olympics.
Lastly, there is the proposed sale of the CW that has left many shows on the chopping block.
The good news is it ain’t over.
Ava DuVernay, ARRAY Filmworks, and Warner Bros TV are in talks to take “Naomi” elsewhere – possibly to another network or streaming platform.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed!

Yes! I LOVE this show! I watched because I have family that works on set but it’s really a good show!
Hoping it will go to a streaming platform as I do not have cable so there I was unable to re-watch episodes on the CW app.
Yes, my mom and I both watched the show. We really aren’t superhero people. However, we fell in love with Black Lighting so we wanted to give any black superhero show a platform. Also, it was created from Ava and I’m always here to support my women especially Black women!!! I really hope, it finds a home that we can continue to watch Naomi’s journey.
