STARZ is turning up the heat this winter with its upcoming six-part psychological thriller, “The Couple Next Door”.
Starring Sam Heughan (“Outlander,” “Suspect”), Eleanor Tomlinson (“Poldark,” “The Outlaws”), Jessica De Gouw (“Pennyworth,” “Our Man from Jersey”), and Alfred Enoch (“How to Get Away with Murder,” “Tigers”), this drama promises to take viewers on an emotional roller coaster.
Previously airing on Channel 4 in the UK, the series dives into the tangled lives of two suburban couples.
Evie (Tomlinson) and Pete (Enoch) are the new arrivals in an affluent neighborhood filled with nosy neighbors and high-pressure social dynamics.
Their seemingly picture-perfect life takes a turn when they befriend their neighbors: Danny (Heughan), an alpha traffic cop, and his glamorous yoga-instructor wife, Becka (De Gouw).
What starts as friendly neighborly bonding escalates into a seductive and dangerous web of secrets.
One fateful night forever intertwines these couples’ lives, unraveling desires and hidden truths that no one could have anticipated.
Directed by Dries Vos (“Professor T,” “Suspect”) and written by David Allison (“Marcella,” “Bedlam”), “The Couple Next Door” examines the eerie claustrophobia of suburban life and how pursuing forbidden desires can have explosive consequences.
