What’s going on in the Chi?! First, Jesse Lee Soffer exited “Chicago P.D.” and now Taylor Kinney is taking a leave of absence from “Chicago Fire!”
The 41-year-old actor, who has starred in the series as “Kelly Severide” since it launched in 2012, is stepping away from the show to deal with a personal matter.
It’s unclear what is going on or how long he will be gone, but future scripts will have to be rewritten to accommodate Taylor’s absence.
Deadline reports the cast and crew of “Chicago Fire” were informed of Taylor Kinney’s leave of absence on Friday.
A spokesperson for the show would not comment…respectfully.
Hopefully, whatever Taylor is going through works out for the best…whatever it may be.
New episodes of “Chicago Fire” are slated to resume on February 8 on NBC.
