“Squid Game” creator Hwang Dong-hyuk slammed Space Jam 2 in response to LeBron James’ critique of the wildly popular Netflix series.
A few weeks ago, after a NBA preseason game, LeBron and his teammate, Anthony Davis, were caught on camera engaged in a conversation about the ending of “Squid Game.”
LeBron made it clear that he did not like the ending, and some reporters verbally agreed with his stance.
Watch the video below:
Hwang Dong-hyuk was asked about LeBron’s comments during an interview with The Guardian.
He responded:
Have you seen Space Jam 2?
LeBron James is cool and can say what he wants. I respect that. I’m very thankful he watched the whole series.
But I wouldn’t change my ending.
That’s my ending. If he has his own ending that would satisfy him, maybe he could make his own sequel. I’ll check it out and maybe send him a message saying, ‘I liked your whole show, except the ending.’
Hwang Dong-hyuk clearly feels a way about LBJ’s response, but I’ve heard many other people say they didn’t like the ending as well.
Perhaps the criticism of the ending is getting to Hwang Dong-hyuk, and he’s taking his frustrations out on LBJ.
