Sony has released the official trailer for Madame Web, the suspense thriller starring Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney.
The film follows Cassandra Webb (Johnson), a Manhattan paramedic who appears to have clairvoyant abilities – which allow her to see into the future and the interconnected spider world.
In the trailer, Cassandra meets and forges an alliance with a trio of young women including Julia Carpenter (Sweeney), who later takes on the mantis of Spider-Woman in the comics.
The cast of Madame Web also includes Isabela Merced, Emma Roberts, Adam Scott, Celeste O’Connor, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, and Zosia Mamet.
Madame Web is Sony’s first comic book adaptation that features a woman in the lead role.
