‘Snowfall’ Renewed For Season 5 At FX

Aww yeah! Aww yeah! FX has renewed “Snowfall” for a fifth season.

The hit crime drama from the late John Singleton, Eric Amadio, and Dave Andron continues to elevate and captivate audiences with each new episode.

Season 4 has seen a 41% increase in viewership averaging 5.1 million viewers across all platforms!

I’ve you’ve been watching… the news of the renewal comes as no surprise. It was actually a demand!

Snowfall,” which airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m., takes place in the 1980s in South Central Los Angeles. The demand for crack cocaine is high, and while our crew of dealers led by Franklin Saint (Damson Idris) are benefitting greatly from the rising tide of addiction, they are also starting to become aware of the damage the drug is doing to the people and the place they love. Damson took to Instagram to share the news of season 5 writing:

For John.

Executive Producer and writer Walter Mosley talked about how they are able to continue “Snowfall” because of the way John Singleton empowered them.

One of the great things about John was he didn’t need to dominate in a way that all of the creativity belonged to him. He shared it out. He just said, ‘What do you guys doing? What’s going on?’ And it’s one of the reasons that the show’s been able to continue is because he’d bequeath everything to us well before you know he died.

Congrats to the cast and crew.
