Sheryl Lee Ralph and Janelle James had an amazing and insightful interview on “GMA” about their experiences filming the first season of “Abbott Elementary.”
Both ladies looked beautiful, and they both said they knew something was special about the show when they read the script.
They gave the creator of the show, Quinta Brunson, props for handpicking an incredible cast of characters who work so well together.
Sheryl Lee Ralph revealed that she initially wanted Janelle’s role as principal of Abbott Elementary.
Janelle said she has similar traits to the outspoken principal character that she plays on the show because she doesn’t typically think before she speaks.
And Sheryl shared an inspiring Sydney Poitier story from her first film with him.
