🎭 Sherri Shepherd Got Confronted At The Theater
It looks like the real drama wasn’t on stage during the star-studded Broadway premiere of Othello — it was in the audience. On Monday’s episode of Sherri, Sherri Shepherd revealed that a celebrity pulled her aside before the show and accused her of throwing shade.
Now, she didn’t name names… but word on the street is it was Nia Long.
Yep, Boyz n the Hood, Friday, and The Best Man legend herself.
😬 ‘You’ve Been Shading Me a Lot‘
Sherri recapped the awkward encounter for her audience, saying the unidentified actress grabbed her arm and turned her around before hitting her with:
“You’ve been shading me a lot.”
Sherri was stunned and denied it, but the star wasn’t having it.
“Yes, you have!” she reportedly shot back.
According to Sherri, she was left feeling mad and totally confused.
She even dipped to the ladies’ room during intermission and waited there for 15 minutes, hoping to avoid another run-in.
“You don’t get to grab me and turn me around like we’re in a daggum cartoon and just walk away,” she said. Whew!

👀 The Alleged Star? Sources Say It Was Nia Long
While Sherri didn’t name the celeb, insiders are saying the woman behind the confrontation was Nia Long.
It’s unclear what exactly sparked the tension, but Sherri thinks it might’ve been a case of mistaken identity — like maybe Nia thought she was someone else.
Either way, she extended an open invite for the actress to come on her show and talk it out.
Smart move… and excellent promo.
As of now, Nia Long hasn’t responded to the rumors or spoken out about the alleged incident.
Her rep didn’t reply to a request for comment.
But, Nia did take to social media to confirm she was in the building for opening night.

🔥 Was This Shade… or a Mix-Up?
Whether this was a shady moment or just a serious misunderstanding, it definitely got people talking.
And now fans are watching to see if Sherri Shepherd and Nia Long will clear the air — or if we’ve got a new low-key celebrity feud brewing.
One thing’s for sure: Broadway wasn’t ready for this kind of backstage drama.
