This is not a drill, ladies, and gentlemen! Rihanna is set to headline the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show!
The singer dropped a not-so-subtle hint on Sunday when she took to social media and posted a photo of her holding an NFL-branded football in her hand.
Roc Nation also released a statement confirming Rihanna would be performing.
In the statement, JAY-Z shared why the Barbadian beauty is the perfect pick for the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
“Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn. A person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment.”
Seth Dudowsky, NFL’s head of music said, “We are thrilled to welcome Rihanna to the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show stage. Rihanna is a once-in-a-generation artist who has been a cultural force throughout her career. We look forward to collaborating with Rihanna, Roc Nation, and Apple Music to bring fans another historic Halftime Show performance.”
The Super Bowl, which typically draws one of the biggest single TV audiences of the year, is scheduled to be played at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on February 12, 2023.
