UPDATE: Stephen A. Smith has shut down premature reports claiming Shannon Sharpe will be joining him on ESPN‘s “First Take.”

Stephen reaffirmed that he would love to have Shannon join him on the show, but he says Unc “has yet to sign on the dotted line to be a member of ‘First Take.'”

He went on to say that he is confident it will happen and he’s going to exhaust all of his resources to make it happen.

Shannon Sharpe is joining forces with Stephen A. Smith on ESPN’s “First Take,” according to multiple reports.

The 55-year-old NFL Hall of Famer will reportedly debate Stephen A. Twice a week – on Mondays and Tuesdays – during football season. 

Shannon said “goodbye” to Skip Bayless and made his exit from “Undisputed” after a seven-year tenure in June.

It didn’t take long before he and Stephen A. Smith became vocal about their desire to work together in some capacity.

And now that it appears to be coming to fruition the streets of Twitter are buzzing!
