In a surprising turn of events, rapper T.I. found himself in handcuffs at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

TMZ reports that the 43-year-old artist, whose real name is Clifford Harris, was mistakenly apprehended on Sunday night due to a mix-up with an arrest warrant.

Authorities were actually seeking a different Clifford Harris, wanted in Baltimore, Maryland, for stalking and violent behavior towards a woman.

Unfortunately, this led to T.I.’s wrongful arrest and subsequent detainment at Clayton County Jail.

Fortunately, T.I.’s attorney, Steve Sadow, swiftly intervened, and the rapper was released shortly thereafter.

A judge has since dismissed the order that would have extradited T.I. to Maryland, clearing up the confusion.

The original complaint against the other Clifford Harris was filed on June 13 this year.

Despite the unexpected ordeal, T.I. has been released.

I can only imagine the six-syllable words Tip was using when he was wrongfully arrested!
