Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss revealed during an Instagram livestream that he is a cancer survivor.
Moss, known for his iconic career in the NFL, shared the news with fans after spending six days in the hospital.
“Your boy is a cancer survivor,” Randy said with gratitude. “I just got out today — thank God!”
The former NFL superstar expressed heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and fans who supported him during his recovery.
“I felt all the prayers coming through there,” he shared. “To all the prayer warriors, my teammates, and everyone who sent well-wishes — I saw it all, and it meant the world to me.”
Randy Moss disclosed that he underwent a six-hour Whipple procedure after doctors discovered cancer in his bile duct, located between the pancreas and liver.
He specifically gave a shoutout to his surgeon: “Dr. Martini, you’re the man.”
Despite the challenges, Randy remains optimistic and determined. “Y’all best believe your boy came through,” he proclaimed.
He also addressed speculation surrounding his health, seemingly calling out individuals who prematurely shared inaccurate information.
“I told you guys I was going through something and needed your prayers. Some folks out here tried to play doctor when they shouldn’t have,” Randy Moss said.

Earlier this month, Moss stepped away from his role on ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown” to focus on his health.
On December 1, he asked viewers for prayers and encouraged everyone to stay on top of their health.
“I’m battling something internal,” he explained in a video, adding, “All you men, do your checkups and get your bloodwork done.”
Moss hasn’t set a timeline for his return to ESPN but assured fans he’s eager to be back when fully recovered.
