The streets of social media were buzzing on Thursday (June 3) after someone on Twitter announced R. Kelly had been released from jail.
The disgraced R&B singer is still behind bars and awaiting trial for sex trafficking and racketeering.
The photo published on Twitter is actually from 2019, when R. Kelly was ordered to jail for failing to pay child support.

While some knew better, you’d be surprised by the amount of people who thought the Pied Piper was back on the street.
R. Kelly’s sex trafficking trial has been moved to New York City and is slated to begin on August 9.
