Their reign at the top was short like leprechauns…ABC has canceled “Queens” after one season.
The music drama starring Naturi Naughton, Brandy, Eve, and Nadine Velazquez, was one of the hottest and most highly anticipated series.
“Queens,” created by Zahir McGhee and directed by Tim Story, followed four estranged and out-of-touch women in their 40s — Naomi (Brandy), Jill (Naughton), Brianna (Eve) and Valeria (Velazquez) — reunite for a chance to recapture their fame and regain the swagger they had as their ’90s group that made them legends in the hip-hop world.
The series started out strong, but the viewership slipped fast.
And Eve taking a break from the series after announcing her pregnancy appeared to be the nail in the coffin.
I watched two episodes at best, but I definitely did my part in promoting the series and it definitely had great viral moments like the infamous rap battle scene.
Let me know if you watched the series and if you will miss the show in the comments below.
