Get ready for a thrilling new detective series! Prime Video dropped the official teaser trailer for “Cross,” a complex and suspenseful crime drama based on the iconic Alex Cross novels by James Patterson.

A Deep Dive into the Minds of Killers

Aldis Hodge stars as Alex Cross, a brilliant detective with a unique ability: he can delve into the twisted minds of both killers and victims.

Using his skills in forensic psychology, Cross hunts down and captures the most dangerous criminals.

Hodge stars as the titular character and also serves as a producer on the series.

Cross” also stars Isaiah Mustafa, Juanita Jennings, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, Jennifer Wigmore, Eloise Mumford, and Ryan Eggold.

Prime Video Orders Season 2 Before Season 1 Even Premieres!

The good news keeps coming!

Cross” has been renewed for a second season by Prime Video even before the first season airs.

This is a huge sign of confidence in the show and the incredible work of the entire team.

“Bringing one of James Patterson’s most iconic literary characters to life for our global Prime Video customers was a dream come true, and we can’t wait for everyone to see Aldis Hodge’s dynamic performance as Cross,” said Vernon Sanders, head of television, Amazon MGM Studios.

“Ben Watkins and his team have created something unique within the crime-thriller genre that long-time fans and newcomers alike will all enjoy. And with over thirty novels written by Patterson featuring Alex Cross as his main protagonist, it was an easy choice to bring Cross back for a second season.”

New Faces Join the Cast

Season 2 will see some exciting additions to the cast, including Wes Chatham (The Expanse), Matthew Lillard (Five Nights at Freddy’s), and Jeanine Mason (Grey’s Anatomy).

Plus, Johnny Ray Gill (Underground) is being promoted to a series regular.

Cross” is a collaboration between some of the biggest names in television.

Ben Watkins created the series and serves as showrunner.
