‘Power Book II: Ghost’ Final Season
Fans have flocked to social media to express their shock and disappointment upon learning that this will mark the final chapter of Tariq St. Patrick and the Tejada family’s story.
Yet, Starz CEO Jeff Hirsh has been unequivocal in his strategy to manage content costs.
He aims to achieve this by prioritizing the creation of new content rather than prolonging existing series, which tend to become more expensive over time.
You look at the [Power] map and say, ‘OK, if I take one of those characters out and spin one of those out, I can bring that on to replace the Power show at half the cost.
Social media reveals that the announcement of the final season came as a surprise to Michael Rainey Jr., known for his role as Tariq St. Patrick in “Power Book II: Ghost.”
He took to his Instagram Story writing, “Don’t ask me nothing idk what’s goin on in them offices lmao they Trippin 🤷🏾♂️😂😂 final season otw tho I guess.”

A writer on the series took to Twitter and shared this tea:
Naturi Naughton, who has portrayed Tasha St. Patrick in the “Power” universe since its inception, expressed her dismay by writing, “Final season???? 😩😩“
