The family of slain rapper Pop Smoke has released a statement on Friday regarding his murder.
Pop, real name Bashar Barakah Jackson, was at his home in Hollywood Hills, when masked and armed men, who were wearing hoodies, entered his home around 4:30 a.m.
The men fired multiple shots striking Pop Smoke and critically wounded him. He was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
He was just 20-years-old.
In their statement, the Jackson family expresses their gratitude for the outpouring to love, support, and prayers.
They also spoke about the Bashar they knew and loved.
