💔 A Devastating Loss After A Dangerous Procedure

This story is truly heartbreaking. A young mother is gone after what was supposed to be a butt implant removal procedure—performed inside someone’s home—went terribly wrong.

María Paz Peñaloza, a 31-year-old mom of two little boys (ages 3 and 1), was brain dead and placed on life support after undergoing surgery in a private apartment in Astoria, Queens.

Two weeks later, her family had to make the gut-wrenching decision to let her go.

🚨 Unlicensed ‘Surgeon’ Tried To Flee The Country

Felipe-Hoyos-Foronda-arrested

María went to the apartment of Felipe Hoyos-Foronda after a friend referred him.

According to her sister, Linney Peñaloza Cabrera, María trusted him because her friend had a procedure done there before.

But shortly after the surgery began, things took a deadly turn.

María was rushed from the home in an ambulance, and doctors at the hospital tried for two and a half hours to revive her.

Sadly, she never recovered.

The cause of death? Lidocaine toxicity.

While lidocaine is a common numbing agent, too much can cause seizures, heart failure, and even death.

Hoyos-Foronda was arrested at JFK Airport while trying to leave the country.

He told police he was licensed in Colombia—but he wasn’t licensed to perform any medical procedures in the U.S.

He’s now facing charges for assault and practicing medicine without a license.

👼 Remembering María Paz

Her family describes María as joyful, full of life, and devoted to her family.

“She always wanted to be around us at her home,” her sister shared. “We’d always spend the holidays at her place.”

A GoFundMe has been launched to help her loved ones in Colombia travel to New York and lay her to rest with dignity.

Let this be a painful reminder: your life is worth so much more than a discounted or underground procedure.

Please make sure you’re seeing licensed, qualified professionals—especially when it comes to something as serious as a butt implant or removal.

Sending prayers and love to María’s family. 💔
