Fans of Lauryn Hill and the Fugees are once again facing disappointment as the much-anticipated tour scheduled for late summer and fall has been abruptly canceled.

Ticketmaster has removed all dates, and ticketholders received refund notifications late Tuesday.

The announcement did not include any reason for the cancellation, and representatives for Hill and the tour promoter, Live Nation, have not provided any comments.

Screenshots posted by ticketholders showed a straightforward message from Live Nation: “Your event has been canceled. A refund will be on its way to your account soon.”

The tour was supposed to kick off on Friday in Tampa, with the U.S. leg concluding at the Hollywood Bowl on September 17, followed by shows in New York and New Jersey on September 20-21.

The tour also planned stops in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston, and Milwaukee, totaling 18 U.S. dates.

After a short break, the tour was set to continue in Europe, starting in Manchester, England on October 12 and ending in Amsterdam on October 22, with concerts in London and Paris in between.

As of now, Lauryn Hill’s social media accounts remain silent on the tour’s cancellation.

Her most recent activity on X (formerly Twitter) was the tour announcement in late June.

This cancellation marks the third consecutive year that Hill and the Fugees have called off some or all of their tour dates, prompting fans to express frustration over the repeated false starts.

Last November, Hill canceled the remaining tour dates due to severe vocal strain, stating she needed to rest to avoid long-term damage to her voice.

The initial reunion tour with the Fugees was announced for 2022 but was postponed due to COVID-19 concerns.

Despite the frequent cancellations, when the shows have occurred, they have been met with great enthusiasm.
