Rashee Rice, the Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, apologizes for his involvement in a 6-car collision in Dallas over the Easter weekend.

In a statement posted on his Instagram Story, Rashee wrote:

Today I met with Dallas PD investigators regarding Saturday’s accident.

I take full responsibility for my part in this matter and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities.

I sincerely apologize to everyone impacted in Saturday’s accident.

The NFL star was allegedly involved in a street race between a Lamborghini SUV and a Chevrolet Corvette on the North Central Expressway in Dallas.

After causing a 6-car wreck, Rashee, his passengers, and the other driver allegedly fled the scene.

Dallas Police spokesperson Kristin Lowman said:

The preliminary investigation determined two drivers, one in a Corvette, the other in a Lamborghini, were speeding in the far-left lane, near University Boulevard.

The drivers lost control, and the Lamborghini traveled onto the shoulder and hit the center median wall, causing a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles (six vehicles total involved).

The occupants of the Lamborghini and the Corvette all ran from the scene without stopping to determine if anyone needed medical help or providing their information.

Two of the involved drivers were treated at the scene by Dallas Fire Rescue for minor injuries, and two occupants of another vehicle were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

To cause a 6-car wreck and flee the scene is not only reckless but callous.

The NFL is monitoring the situation involving Rice, league spokesperson Brian McCarthy told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Tuesday.

At this time, it’s unclear if Rashee Rice will face criminal charges, but  I’m sure those civil suits are being drafted as I type this post.
