Gloria Govan and Derek Fisher are officially husband and wife.
The pandemic delayed their nuptials, but the lovebirds made it official on Saturday, July 17, at Cielo Farms in Malibu, California.
Gloria told People:
We got engaged in 2018, and we eagerly started planning the wedding, but, unfortunately, like many, we had to cancel our big day.
There were times we thought we should have a Zoom wedding instead of waiting but quickly realized our families being a part of the big day was important and our kids, who are just as excited as we are.
A week after tying the knot, Gloria took to Instagram to share a few gorgeous photos from her wedding day.
The caption read:
As I start to ascend off cloud nine, I look back at our wedding just a week ago and can’t help but smile. Our love isn’t perfect; it’s not a fairy tale or storybook (even though these pictures are????), and it doesn’t always come easy.
Love is overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, and fighting to be together. Love is a short word, easy to spell but difficult to define and impossible to live without. Love is work, but it’s work we’re willing to put in. @dereklfisher I got you and you got me.
We didn’t let lies or scrutiny beat us. Against all odds, we made it to the next chapter. Let’s Go! ???????????????????????? Love you, baby, you keep looking at me like this and well, you already know what’s gonna happen. ????????

This is the second marriage for both Gloria Govan and Derek Fisher.
Glo shared what makes this time so special.
For both of us, this is our second marriage. The most exciting part about this time around is all the growth we bring to the relationship.
The trials and tribulations we’ve experienced have played a huge part in who we are in our relationship today.
From the start, we’ve been very honest about our expectations from our friendship to marriage.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Derek Fisher.
