Update: The remains of Neveah Allen were found in Mississippi on Sunday (September 26),
The Hancock County (Mississippi) coroner confirmed Neveah’s body was located near the Pearlington area about 20 minutes from Slidell.
Neveah’s stepfather, Philip Gardner, has been arrested and charged.

The FBI has joined forces with the Baton Rouge Police Department to find 2-year-old Neveah Allen, who went missing on Friday afternoon (September 24).
According to her mother, Lanaya Cardwel, Nevaeh’s stepfather put her down for a nap around 1 p.m.
Hours later, Cardwel’s oldest came home around 4:15 p.m. and found the door open.
The stepfather was still asleep and Neveah was missing.
Lanaya said:
Nevaeh is not known for wandering around.
I never once had to correct Neveah for even leaving the house without an adult.
The toddler was last seen wearing a yellow and pink dress with pineapples on it.
Neveah Allen is 33” tall and she weighs about 30 pounds.
By Friday night, Louisiana State Police had issued a Level II Endangered Missing Child Advisory.
The FBI has now joined the search to find this precious little girl.
