“Tyler Perry’s Where There’s Smoke” is officially in production, and Netflix just announced who’s stepping into the firehouse.
If you like character-driven dramas set inside high-pressure worlds, this one is stepping directly into that space.
Let me walk you through what we know so far.
What Is “Tyler Perry’s Where There’s Smoke” About?
“Tyler Perry’s Where There’s Smoke” is a 16-episode, hour-long drama written, directed, and produced by Tyler Perry under his multi-year first-look deal with Netflix.
Angi Bones and Tony Strickland are producing for Tyler Perry Studios.
According to the official logline, the series follows a group of firefighters navigating the intense demands of their profession while dealing with personal struggles, fractured relationships, and the emotional weight that comes with saving lives in dangerous situations.
So while the setting is a firehouse, the core of the series centers on relationships, pressure, and the toll that kind of responsibility can take.
