This chilling thriller pulls viewers into the harrowing story of a grieving woman seeking refuge in a secluded forest, only to be confronted by a mysterious figure who injects her with a paralytic agent.

As her body gradually succumbs to the paralysis, she must summon all her strength to run, hide, and fight for survival before her entire nervous system shuts down.

The movie’s tense premise posed unique challenges for the filmmakers.

Sam Raimi, the film’s producer, expressed initial concerns about keeping the audience engaged, given the amount of time the main character is immobilized.

“I was worried viewers would grow restless, but the directors handled it beautifully. The suspense only grows as the film progresses,” Raimi shared.

Directors Brian Netto and Adam Schindler, known for 50 States of Fright and Delivery: The Beast Within, took on the challenge of creating a real-time thriller, working closely with writers T.J. Cimfel and David White (Shut In).

Netto explained, “We wanted the story to unfold in real-time, putting the audience right there with the characters every step of the way.”

At 85 minutes, Don’t Move delivers a relentless, edge-of-your-seat experience.

Finn Wittrock, one of the film’s stars, described the movie as a unique journey.

“It’s something I haven’t seen before in a film like this—you’re truly along for the ride, feeling every moment of the darkness.”

Kelsey Asbille, who plays the lead character Iris, praised the film’s personal intensity.

“It’s a stripped-down thriller, but it feels so personal. The fight to overcome something that has left you feeling completely helpless really resonated with me.”

Netto and Schindler pushed their creative limits to ramp up the tension in each scene.

Schindler noted, “We constantly asked ourselves, ‘How can we make this tougher for her? How do you corner her, and how does she escape?’ Each scene ups the stakes.”

Don’t Move boasts an impressive cast, including:

  • Kelsey Asbille (Yellowstone, Fargo)
  • Finn Wittrock (American Horror Story: Hotel, The Big Short)
  • Moray Treadwell (The Witcher: Blood Origin, Downton Abbey)
  • Daniel Francis (Bridgerton, Small Axe)

Mark your calendars for October 25 and brace yourself for a heart-pounding ride when Don’t Move hits Netflix.
