Muni Long has teamed up with the legendary Mariah Carey on the remix of her viral hit “Made For Me.âÂ
“When I got the call from JD [Jermaine Dupri, one of the songâs producers] to work on the âMade For Meâ remix, I said yes immediately,” Mariah gushed in a press release. “Muni is an amazing writer and performer, and this collaboration is a match made in heaven.”Â
The remix release comes eight months after Muni Long dropped the original version, which skyrocketed her into the stratosphere with her second Billboard Hot 100 Top 20 appearance.Â
Her 2022 breakthrough hit “Hrs and Hrs” not only peaked at No. 16 but also snagged her the best R&B performance at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
On Tuesday (May 21), Muni brought down the house with a performance of “Made For Me” during the season 25 finale of NBCâs âThe Voice.âÂ
“Made For Me” has been dominating the charts, hitting No. 1 on both R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay for seven weeks and Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay for four weeks.
Before the Muni x Mimi collab, Muni spiced things up with remixes featuring Lil Jon & Kronic and BNYX.
She even slayed the stage at the 2023 BET Soul Train Awards.
