An 18-year-old Miami woman has been arrested and is facing multiple charges after she allegedly tried to hire a hitman to kill her 3-year-old son.
Jazmin Paez visited RentAHitman.com, a parody hit-for-hire website and said that she was willing to pay $3,000 to have her son “taken away, far, far, far away and possibly be killed but ASAP.”
Paez listed wanting “to get something done once and for all” as her reason for hiring a hitman.
According to police Jazmin Paez provided the website with the address where the boy lives with his grandmother, a recent photo of him, and her phone number.
The website’s owner, Robert Innes, contacted Miami-Dade police and detectives tracked down the woman on Tuesday using the IP address and phone number provided.
Paez was arrested on Tuesday at her father’s house, where she had been staying.
The arrest report says she confessed to trying to hire a hitman to kill her toddler.
Jazmin Paez was charged first-degree solicitation of murder and third-degree using a communications device for an unlawful use.
She was booked into a Miami-Dade County detention center on Wednesday, and given a standard $15,000 bond.

What’s also disturbing is the website owner, Robert Innes, who initially created the website for a cybersecurity project, said he tried to contact the Miami-Dade Police Department several times about Jazmin Paez’s inquiry.
But, he says they directed him to CrimeStoppers USA, per NBC6.
“They were not interested. They sent me an email saying if I contacted one more time they were going to send a cease and desist letter,” Innes alleged to the outlet.
Eventually, the Miami-Dade Police Department took action.
