The Miami Hurricanes are going after some top recruits in the sons of former football players Edgerrin James, Jason Taylor, and rapper Rick Ross.

Edgerrin James is a Hall of Famer who spent most of his career as the running back for the Indianapolis Colts, and he became their all-time leading rusher with 9,226 yards.

It’s fair to say his son Eden James has it in his blood. He is a running back for Port St. Lucie (Fla.) Treasure Coast, and he posted 751 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on only 82 carries.

Jason Taylor is a Hall of Famer who spent the majority of his career as a defensive end and outside linebacker for the Miami Dolphins. He has the fourth most forced fumbles of all time with 46.

His son Mason Taylor plays tight end for St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.), and he caught 6 passes for 133 yards as a junior. He also received scholarship offers from Illinois and Syracuse.

Many people know that Rick Ross is nice on the mic and he is the CEO of Maybach Music, but they don’t know that he attended Albany State on a football scholarship.

Ross’ son William Roberts played on the varsity team as a freshman at St. Thomas Aquinas. He was featured on the offensive line his freshman year, as the team pursued a state championship. He also has a scholarship offer from Syracuse.

Eden James and Mason Taylor are 2022 recruits, and William Roberts is a 2024 recruit.

Good luck to the Miami Hurricanes on landing these talented recruits.
