Premiering on CBS at 8:00 PM ET/PT, this reboot stars the legendary Kathy Bates as Madeline “Matty” Matlock, a brilliant attorney who, despite her golden years, is stepping back into the courtroom with an unparalleled sharpness and wit.

In this modern take, Matty Matlock isn’t just another lawyer at a prestigious law firm; she’s the hidden ace.

With her unassuming demeanor and shrewd strategies, she dazzles both clients and colleagues, including Olympia (played by Skye P. Marshall), a senior attorney with a fierce passion for justice.

The show also introduces Julian (Jason Ritter), Olympia’s ex-husband and son of the firm’s head, who becomes intrigued by Matty’s clever approach to law.

Joining them are Billy (David Del Rio), a charismatic young lawyer, and Sarah (Leah Lewis), an ambitious associate determined to prove herself.

Inspired by the original “Matlock” series, which starred Andy Griffith, this reboot promises a captivating mix of courtroom drama and lighthearted wit, driven by Kathy Bates’ powerful performance.

With a stellar supporting cast and a storyline focused on both complex legal battles and dynamic interpersonal relationships, “Matlock” is sure to appeal to both longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Make sure to catch the series premiere tonight, September 22, 2024, on CBS, with the show continuing its regular time slot on Thursdays at 9:00 PM ET/PT starting October 17, 2024.
