Mashonda revealed that she is open to being married again recently on “Sway’s Universe” during an interview about her new single “Forbidden Fruit.”
Mashonda said she loves marriage, and it is great when it’s great, but you have to really like the person you are married to.
She said that she married Swizz Beatz when she was 25, and they both didn’t know who they were at the time they both were heavily involved in the music business, which came with a lot of distractions.
But, now as a grown woman, she appreciates the security of marriage and having your person.
She said you must really like your person beyond loving them, and that’s what’s taking her so long to remarry because she wants to really like her person.
You may recall, that Mashonda accused Alicia Keys of having an affair with Swizz Beatz while they were married.
They have since moved past their differences, healed, and are now one big happy blended family.

Another highlight of the interview came when Sway asked Mashonda about some lyrics in her new song “Forbidden Fruit” and she revealed that someone told her that she tastes like “honey and water.”
