Mac McClung, The 2023 NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Champion, Practically Matched His Career Earnings In One Night

Mac McClung, the 2023 NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Champion, made 94% of his career earnings in one night by becoming the slam dunk champion.

According to an Instagram post from Bleacher Report, Mac McClung has earned $106k in his basketball career so far, and last night he made $100k by winning the 2023 NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Competition.

The fact that Mac nearly matched his career earnings in one night at the NBA Dunk Contest shows the huge pay disparity in the G-League.

At 6′ 2″, Mac was the shortest player in the Slam Dunk Contest, but he put the world on notice by getting a perfect score on his first dunk.

He would continue to wow the crowd and win the dunk chip by getting perfect scores in three out of his four dunks.

His elevation is effortless and smooth, and he finishes like a veteran.

He became an instant favorite to win the competition after his first dunk.

He also has an amazing story, Mac was called up from the NBA G-League’s Delaware Blue Coats to play for the Philadelphia 76ers the same week of the All-Star Slam Dunk Competition.

He played college basketball for the Georgetown Hoyas and the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Mac McClung has had a following on social media from his high-flying dunks since High School, but the NBA made him a household name.

He is being hailed as the savior of the Dunk Contest for his incredible performance.
