Comedian Luenell has issued an apology after she mistakenly shared a false rumor about the death of Tito Jackson.
In the now-deleted post, Luenell shared a photo of Tito and his sons along with the caption:
RIP @poppa3T Tito Jackson 😪😰 prayers going out to the entire Jackson clan today 🙏🏾
The post left many people stunned and others scratching their heads.
“Abbott Elementary” star Sheryl Lee Ralph commented on Luenell’s post writing, “Wait!!! What?!?!!! 😢”
It didn’t take long before Tito Jackson’s manager confirmed: “Tito’s alive and kicking and currently home working on a new Jacksons’ album.”
Luenell issued an apology and posted a screenshot of the website she got the false information from.
She wrote:
THIS IS NOT TRUE‼️‼️‼️
The next time I will absolutely verify my sources, but this is where I got that ugly roomer from in the first place.
I love Tito and all the Jackson‘s and I’m very sorry for my premature condolence post earlier.
I didn’t make it up. I read it. #FAKENews

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time the comedian has passed along false information to her one million followers.
You may recall that in 2015, Luenell boldly congratulated rapper and “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” star Trina on her pregnancy and later issued a public apology.
She wrote:
Let me take this opportunity 2 Bow Down and DEEPLY apologize for falsely congratulating u on my erroneous post about ur NON-Pregnancy.
While I was complimenting you on how Smoking Hot you looked, I have obviously mis-heard and or mis-understood and jumped the gun.
Some folks have taken to their Twitter timelines to react to Luenell’s latest shenanigans…
There are some things you just don’t spread without verifying it first and death is at the top of the list.
Hopefully, Luenell – and others – will learn to be responsible when spreading information.

I agree she should have verified the information first. She did apologize and tho it’s not her first time spreading false information maybe she can learn from this.
