Leon Spinks Jr.: Boxing Legend Passes Away At 67

It’s with a heavy heart that I report Leon Spinks Jr. has passed away. 

The former heavyweight champion died surrounded by his wife and loved ones in Las Vegas on Friday night after battling prostate and other cancers. 

He was 67.

Leon’s claim to fame was beating Muhammad Ali on February 15, 1978. 

His huge win over Ali happened in his eighth fight as a pro boxer.
