Laverne Cox has been labeled “messy” after she interviewed Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith on the red carpet of the SAG Awards and brought up “the entanglement.”
As the “Inventing Anna” actress and “Orange Is the New Black” star was wrapping up her convo with Will she said:
We love you. Thank you for all the years of joy you’ve brought us.
Then, Laverne turned to Jada and said:
Thank you. We can’t wait for more ‘Red Table Talk’ and more entanglements.
Jada quickly responded:
No more of those.
Laverne Cox attempted to clean things up by adding:
No more entanglements, no more entanglements! I love you, girl. I’m just kidding. I’m just joshin’ you.
Everyone laughed off the super awkward moment.
For those who may be lost in the sauce… “entanglement” is the word Jada Pinkett Smith used to describe her extramarital affair with R&B singer August Alsina.
Of course, Jada maintained she didn’t cheat because she and Will were on a “break” at the time.
But, the entire ordeal and aftermath is definitely a sore spot for the couple and it should not have been brought up or mentioned on Will’s big night.
