Actress Lauren London took to social media to pay tribute to Nipsey Hussle on the fourth anniversary of his death.

The You People star shared a black-and-white photo of the late rapper along with the following heartbreaking message:

I hold my breath all of March knowing I have to face the memory of the day you transitioned….

Holding on to ancient wisdom but the pain is the pain
and nothing was ever the same…

Eternal Being
Ermias Asghedom
I Love You

“To consider that after the death of the body the spirit perishes is like imagining that a bird in a cage will be destroyed if the cage is broken, though the bird has nothing to fear from the destruction of the cage. Our body is like the cage, and the spirit is like the bird. We see that without the cage this bird flies in the world of sleep; therefore, if the cage becomes broken, the bird will continue and exist. Its feelings will be even more powerful, its perceptions greater, and its happiness increased. In truth, from hell it reaches a paradise of delights because for the thankful birds there is no paradise greater than freedom.” – Baha’i Sacred Writings

During her July 2022 interview with Angie Martinez, Lauren London said it was God who carried her through Nipsey’s funeral service at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

I just felt like it was surreal.

I can honestly say God was carrying me through that cause there was no way…

I didn’t even want to get dressed. I was going to wear sweats…

Lauren went on to share the powerful words Diddy shared with her on that day.

Somebody pulled me aside…Puff.

Puff pulled me aside and was like, ‘Look Boog, you have showed everybody what it looks like to hold a man down and to love him.

Now, show them what it looks like when it all crumbles. That’s your responsibility.’

Nipsey Hussle was fatally shot outside of his Marathon Clothing store on March 31, 2019, by Eric Holder, Jr.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge H. Clay Jacke sentenced the Crips gang member to 25 years to life in state prison for murdering the rapper, whose real name is Ermias Asghedom

Eric Holder Jr. received an additional 25 years to life based on a sentencing enhancement because he used a gun.

He must also serve an additional 10 years in prison for assault for shooting and wounding two other men who were with Nipsey on the day of the killing.

Nipsey Hussle and Lauren London were never married, but they were soulmates who welcomed a son, Kross Ermias Asghedom, in 2016.

Lauren also shares a son, Kameron Carter, with Lil Wayne.

Be sure to watch Lauren in You People, the Kenya Barris comedy starring Eddie Murphy, Jonah Hill, Julia Louis Dreyfus, and more.

I am sending my deepest love, sincere thoughts, and heartfelt prayers to Lauren and her family.
