Lauren London on Nipsey Hussle funeral on Angie Martinez In Real Life Podcast
YouTube

Angie Martinez has launched her brand new podcast, “In Real Life,” and her first guest is actress Lauren London.

The episode is titled, “We’re All Gonna Die,” and the description reads:

Lauren London has learned many valuable lessons since losing the love of her life, and she’s sitting down with Angie to share how the tragic death of Nipsey Hussle in 2019 has shaped her.

In Lauren’s first “in real life” in-person interview since Hussle’s passing, she candidly discusses her journey through grief and how a deeper relationship with God has moved to the forefront of her priorities.

Angie and Lauren’s wide-ranging conversation touches on death etiquette, legacy, parenting,  trauma, and healing.

In a clip released on social media, Angie told Lauren that she seemed “regal” at Nipsey Hussle’s funeral service and asked, “Did you feel that way?”

Lauren responded:

I just felt like it was surreal.

I can honestly say God was carrying me through that cause there was no way…

I didn’t even want to get dressed. I was going to wear sweats…

Lauren went on to share how Diddy shared some pretty powerful words with her.

Somebody pulled me aside…Puff.

Puff pulled me aside and was like, ‘Look Boog, you have showed everybody what it looks like to hold a man down and to love him. Now, show them what it looks like when it all crumbles. That’s your responsibility.’

Lauren London and Nipsey Hussle began dating in December 2013.

Three years later, they welcomed their son, Kross Asghedom.

Sadly, Nipsey was murdered outside of his Marathon Clothing store on March 31, 2019.

Eric Holder was charged and convicted of first-degree murder in Nipsey’s death.

He now faces life in prison.

My continued prayers to Lauren and the rest of Nipsey’s family.

May he Rest In Peace.
