Comedian and social media star Kountry Wayne took to Instagram to proudly announce his first-ever Netflix stand-up comedy special, “A Woman’s Prayer.”
According to the streamer, “A Woman’s Prayer” will debut on September 19.
The special was filmed at the Warner Theater in Washington, D.C., and will feature the in-demand comedian talking about everything from fatherhood to gender dynamics and faith.
Kountry Wayne, whose real name is DeWayne Colley, has captured the internet with his brand of comedy in the form of skits via Instagram and YouTube.
He plays many different characters in his skits similar to how comedy legend Martin Lawrence did on his hit sitcom, “Martin.”
Wayne’s skits are heavily influenced by Hip Hop and urban culture, but what makes them refreshing is that he doesn’t use profanity, and he promotes his faith in them without being preachy.
In 2021, he released a rap album on DSPs as his character “Drip,” a dope boy turned rapper from the streets of Atlanta.
The comedian recently took to his Instagram account to announce the exciting news about his forthcoming Netflix special.
He captioned his post:
It’s official! My special A WOMAN’S PRAYER is coming to Netflix on September 19! Get Ready! @netflixisajoke #AWomansPrayer @rottenscienc
We are anxiously awaiting the release of “A Woman’s Prayer.”
