Kim Potter Trial: Ex-Cop Delivers Razzie-Worthy Testimony In Shooting Of Daunte Wright

Kim Potter testimony trial shooting of Daunte Wright

Kim Potter, the ex-Minneapolis police officer who fatally shot Daunte Wright during a traffic stop in April, took the stand on Friday (December 17) to testify in her manslaughter case.

Kim claims she mistook her gun for a taser when she shot and killed 20-year-old Daunte on  April 11, 2021.

During her testimony, the 26-year veteran put on for her city and delivered a performance worthy of a Razzie Award.

When the prosecution presented her bodycam footage from the traffic stop, Kim began to twitch and blink her eyes rapidly as if she was on the verge of a mental breakdown.

The defense asked for a break to allow her to collect herself. It was granted.

When it was time for her to testify about the events that led up to her shooting Daunte, Kim Potter channeled her inner Kyle Rittenhouse and cued the dry tears as she said:

We are struggling. We’re trying to keep him from driving away. It just went chaotic. I remember yelling — ‘Taser, Taser, Taser’ — and nothing happened. And then he told me I shot him.

Please keep the Wright family uplifted in prayer as they have to endure the shenanigans and tomfoolery of this trial in addition to coping with his absence during the holiday season.
