Kelly Rowland opened up about reconnecting with her estranged father, Christopher Lovett, on “Today With Hoda & Jenna” after having no contact with him for 30 years.
Kelly said that after having her first child, Titan, and losing her mom she really wanted to meet her father.
It wasn’t until I had Titan, my first.
And, I said I really need to know him, I want to meet him.
By the way, this is after I lost my mother because I lost my mother three weeks after Titan was born.
So at that time I think I still had these feelings of like, ‘Oh my God! You have no parents, and it was like, no, you do you have one left.’
She now has two children, 1-year-old Noah Jon and 7-year-old Titan Jewell .
Kelly revealed Jay-Z gave her some words of wisdom concerning reconnecting with her father.
He said love is all about risk you have to decide if you’re going to jump… You gon jump?
Kelly’s father Christoper is very apologetic, and he just wants her to live her best life.
He is happy that he was able to dispel the rumors about him that Kelly had been carrying around with her over the years.
