Jonathan Majors has been dropped by Marvel Studios in a stunning career blow for the once-rising star.

On Monday (December 18), a Manhattan jury convicted Majors of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment following a two-week trial.

In March, Jonathan Majors was arrested in New York City after he allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari in the backseat of a private vehicle.

Grace testified that she grabbed Jonathan’s phone after seeing a text message from another woman that read, “Wish I were kissing you right now.”

Prior to his arrest in March, Jonathan Majors starred in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania as the time-traveling villain Kang the Conqueror and was positioned as the key figure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Disney-owned studio was building its entire current story arc around Kang and Jonathan was going to lead Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, slated for May 1, 2026.

Marvel Studios intends to move forward with the film and in November, they hired “Loki” creator Michael Waldron to work on a new draft.

Jonathan Majors’ sentencing is scheduled for February 6, 2024, with the actor potentially facing up to a year in jail.
